PT BMN Participates in Phase 1 Downstreaming Project Groundbreaking to Strengthen National Food Security

Malang — On Friday, February 6, PT Berdikari Meubel Nusantara (PT BMN) participated in the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Phase 1 Downstreaming Project in Malang Regency, East Java, as part of an integrated poultry downstreaming initiative inaugurated by Danantara. The project marks a strategic milestone in strengthening Indonesia’s national food security through the development of a more integrated, efficient, and sustainable livestock industry ecosystem.

PT BMN was represented by its President Director, Andre A. Adhiguna, who expressed optimism that the downstreaming program will deliver meaningful contributions to community welfare while supporting Indonesia’s long-term economic resilience and sustainable growth. The initiative reflects a collaborative effort to enhance value creation across the livestock supply chain and reinforce national production capacity.

Beyond strengthening the national protein supply, the project is expected to generate broader economic benefits for local communities, including job creation, ecosystem development within the livestock industry, and increased regional economic activity. The development of this facility also aligns with key government strategic programs, including the Free Nutritious Meals Program (MBG), by enabling a more integrated, efficient, and resilient food supply chain.

The project inauguration was attended virtually by Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani and Danantara CIO Dony Oskaria. Meanwhile, the event was attended in person by the Director General of Livestock and Animal Health of the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. drh. Agung Suganda, M.Si; Head of the East Java Provincial Livestock Service, Dr. Ir. Indyah Aryani, MM; Regent of Malang, Drs. H. M. Sanusi, M.M; Head of the Malang Regency Livestock Service, Drs. Eko Wahyu Widodo; President Director of ID FOOD, Ghimoyo; Director of Production and Development of PTPN III (Persero), Rizal H. Damanik; representatives of the East Java Regional Government; the Ministry of Agriculture team; professional academics; and community leaders.

Representing PT Berdikari’s leadership were President Commissioner Fernando T. Rorimpandey, Independent Commissioner Cahaya Dwi Rembulan Sinaga, President Director Maryadi, and Director of Finance & Human Resources Kaspiyah.
