Demand for furniture products has now expanded to the Middle East and African markets, opening up new market opportunities. PT Berdikari Meubel Nusantara stated that the furniture products it produces meet international standards and are ready to compete globally.
In support of the local economy, PT Berdikari Meubel Nusantara has established strategic partnerships with SMEs and local artisans in several regions and initiated export activities. Furthermore, the company expressed a strong desire to collaborate with village-owned enterprises (BUM Desa) operating in the handicraft and furniture sectors, with a primary focus on empowering rural communities. Currently, PT Berdikari Meubel Nusantara’s production center is located in Pandaan, Pasuruan Regency, East Java.
Director of Village and Underdeveloped Region Investment Services (PID), Aditya Hendra Krisna, S.E., M.M., emphasized the importance of villages in the national supply chain, both as suppliers of raw materials and processors of semi-finished products. Collaboration with BUM Desa focuses on livestock management, technical assistance, and marketing of handicraft products such as furniture and processed wood products.
The collaboration between PT Berdikari Meubel Nusantara and BUM Desa aligns with the 12 Action Plans of the Minister of Villages, Regional Development, and Transmigration, particularly in achieving national food self-sufficiency and improving the welfare of rural communities.
