Surabaya, December 10, 2025 — PT Berdikari Meubel Nusantara (BMN) reaffirmed its commitment to education and youth creativity development through its participation in “The Zoo-per Seats: Zoo Furniture Design Challenge for Surabaya Zoo,” an initiative organized by Ciputra University Surabaya.

In this program, BMN’s Director, Andre Andika Adhiguna, was invited to serve as a member of the judging panel alongside Nurika Widyasanti, Operational & General Director of PD Taman Satwa Kebun Binatang Surabaya; Moch. Nahroni, Director of Finance & Human Resources at PDTS Surabaya Zoo; and Dr. Sn. Tri Noviyanto P. Utomo, S.Sn., M.MT, Architecture Lecturer at Ciputra University Surabaya and Chairman of HDMI East Java.

BMN’s involvement reflects the company’s contribution to promoting furniture design innovation that is relevant, functional, and socially impactful—particularly for public facilities at the Surabaya Zoo.

As part of its support, PT BMN also provided appreciation funds for top participants and conducted a coaching clinic led by the company’s Research, Design & Specification (RDS) expert team for selected finalists.
This initiative serves as a collaborative platform connecting academia, the public sector, and the manufacturing industry to advance impactful design solutions for the community.

BMN’s participation aligns with the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) pillars in Education and Economic Empowerment, aimed at expanding access to learning, enhancing competencies, and preparing young talent to enter the furniture and creative industry.

Director of PT BMN, Andre Andika Adhiguna, noted that such collaborations play a strategic role in shaping a new generation of Indonesian designers who are creative, adaptive, and globally competitive.

“Through this initiative, we aim to encourage students’ creativity in furniture design while providing real exposure to industry processes. We believe that synergy between education and industry will cultivate outstanding talent that brings meaningful contributions to society,” Andre said.

BMN hopes this initiative will mark the beginning of long-term collaboration among PT Berdikari Meubel Nusantara, Ciputra University Surabaya, and PDTS Surabaya Zoo in developing more comfortable, educational, and interactive public facility designs.
